pictures of Mike Bruno, Sr. founder of Bruno

My father, who was a Veteran, had worked at a stairlift manufacturer and a company that built lowered floor vans for people in wheelchairs. He was always looking for ways to give people with mobility challenges more independence.

When the minivan was invented in the mid-80’s, Dad saw the opportunity for people who had scooters and wheelchairs to more easily transport their mobility devices. He launched Bruno as one of the first companies that designed and built scooter lifts in the U.S.

We then started making stairlifts, and he applied his eye toward innovative design to that product by introducing the first battery-operated stairlift in the United States, something now standard for stairlifts.

By delivering both home and auto accessibility products, Bruno gains a wider perspective into to our customer’s total needs since needs for those two categories often overlap.

The third generation of extended Bruno family is now employed at Bruno. We’re committed to investing in continually improving our products and employees to ensure we help the lives of people with limited mobility long into the future.

Thank you for the privilege of letting my family help yours,
